FLTRD Social is a specialty coffee logging and discovery platform. These Terms govern your use of the FLTRD website, mobile app, and any related services. Please read them — they're written to be understood, not to be impenetrable.
By creating an account, logging in, or otherwise using FLTRD Social ("FLTRD", "we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
We may update these Terms at any time. We'll let you know about material changes through the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
You must be at least 13 years old to use FLTRD. By using the service you represent that you are old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction and that you are not barred from using the service under applicable law.
If you're using FLTRD on behalf of an organisation (for example, as a claimed roaster owner), you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately at hello@fltrd.social if you believe your account has been compromised.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our sole discretion.
FLTRD lets you post reviews, photos, tasting notes, ratings, and other content ("User Content"). You retain ownership of what you create. By posting User Content you grant FLTRD a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, reproduce, and distribute it as part of operating the service — including showing your reviews to other users and in promotional materials for FLTRD.
You are solely responsible for your User Content and agree that it will not:
Objectionable content and abusive behaviour are not tolerated. We reserve the right to remove any User Content and suspend or terminate any account, with or without notice, for violations of these standards.
Reporting. If you encounter content that violates these standards, use the report button available on reviews, comments, and profiles. We review all reports and take appropriate action — this may include removing content, warning the user, or banning the account.
Blocking. You can block any user from their profile page. Blocking prevents their content from appearing in your feed and removes your content from theirs. We are notified of blocks and use them as a moderation signal.
FLTRD allows roasters and cafes to claim and manage their pages. By claiming a page you represent that you are authorised to act on behalf of that business. You agree not to misrepresent your affiliation with any business.
FLTRD may remove or revoke a claimed page if we determine the claim was made in bad faith or without proper authorisation.

The FLTRD name, logo, and all content we create (design, code, copy, data structures) are owned by or licensed to FLTRD and protected by applicable intellectual property law. Nothing in these Terms gives you the right to use our trademarks or branding without our explicit written permission.
Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information about you. By using FLTRD you agree to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
FLTRD integrates with third-party services (including authentication, cloud storage, and push notifications). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We're not responsible for the practices of third-party providers.
FLTRD is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Reviews, ratings, and tasting notes on FLTRD represent the opinions of individual users and do not constitute professional advice of any kind.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FLTRD and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of FLTRD will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) CAD $50.
You may stop using FLTRD and delete your account at any time from the app's settings. We may also suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.
On termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Sections covering intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
